"Working with SOME has been an incredible way to support our neighbors in DC. From serving meals, to offering medical and housing support, every action taken at SOME is a step towards uplifting individuals and fostering hope in the heart of our community. I am honored to work with an organization that not only addresses immediate needs but also empowers individuals to achieve long-term stability and dignity."

Jesus Contreras Magana | The Carlyle Group

“What stood out to me about SOME was the whole person care model addressing a client’s immediate needs and helping them navigate their path toward long-term stability. I am honored to work with SOME because of the impact it has had and will continue to have toward thousands of individuals in the DC community via its comprehensive services including housing, healthcare, and workforce development.”

Michael Bauer | The Carlyle Group

“SOME operates with an exceptional level of care for the people and community they serve, and the entire D.C community continues to benefit from the organization’s impact. Through serving meals, offering housing support, and empowering individuals to live more fulfilling lives, SOME makes a unique difference in the D.C. community and it is a true privilege to work with such a passionate team.”

"Being involved with SOME has been a profoundly rewarding journey, where every action contributes to a larger, stronger support net of hope and resources for the Washington, DC, community. Being part of an organization that meets direct needs and fosters long-term empowerment is a privilege. I firmly believe that our community is the people around us and our physical place-- giving back through SOME is a way to see oneself connect and invest in the future of all Washingtonians."

Emani Walks | Latham & Watkins

“I am excited to work with SOME this year on the host committee. As a DMV native, I have seen SOME’s exceptional work in the community since childhood. The organization’s commitment to people who are often forgotten has always inspired me and I am ecstatic to be apart of the mission through the host committee this year.”

Sallie Collamore | Latham & Watkins

“I’m so excited and proud to be on the SOME host committee this year because this organization and the people it serves is the greatest and most rewarding way to help and impact the community right outside our doors in DC. I remember a quote one of my teachers had up on her wall in high school that read ‘Bloom where you are planted’ and I believe SOME helps ALL community members do just that.”

Carolina Giraldo | SOME

"What I enjoy the most about working at SOME is seeing our clients excel. To see a client go from having very little and fighting to survive to buying their first home, is such a blessing."

Lindsay Hoskins | Gensler

“At its core, SOME focuses on enriching our communities, an important mission in both my personal and professional life. In the real estate and design industry, creating spaces where every individual finds belonging and opportunity is paramount. I'm proud to partner with SOME to build resilient communities, and ensure everyone in our city feels proud to call DC home.”

"For decades, SOME has been a pillar of our community, empowering and supporting those at risk in the DC area. I am honored to now be on the this year’s YPN Host Committee as we continue to support SOME’s fight on addressing poverty and homelessness in our city. Though not something that can be changed overnight, SOME’s continued resilience and determination instills hope that one day the cycle may be put to an end in DC.”
